Mitchusson Park is a great recreational resource and one of our city's treasures.
There are ball fields, , volleyball court, a paved walking trail, a pavilion, barbeque grills, playground equipment, disc golf course and more.
Several large parking lots make accessibility easier then ever.

Main St. Memorial Park
Main St. Memorial Park is our newest addition to the Huntsville municipal parks system.
Todd Thomas serves on the Park Commission as Chairman and is the Chief of the Huntsville Police Department. He graduated from Huntsville High School in 1992 and the Police Academy in 1998. Todd is a member of the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce.
Randy Ridgway has been a Mitchusson Park Commissioner since the inception of the Park Commission in the mid 1980s. Randy holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences. Randy has been a Huntsville City Councilman, served on the Huntsville Planning Commission and served as President of the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce.
Alex Foster has been a Mitchusson Park Commissioner for over 2 years. Alex graduated from Huntsville High School. Alex has been a youth pastor at the U-Turn Youth Ministries for 10 years. Alex is a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Don was a Park Commissioner from 2000 to 2011, then reappointed in 2014. He is retired from Arvest Bank and a member of Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church.
Carmen was appointed to the Park Commission in 2012. She has been a Deputy Court Clerk since 2007, as well as an administrative assistant in 2012. Prior to that she worked as a part-time assistant in the City Clerk's office and the Police Department and ran her own bookkeeping business. She is a graduate of Elkins High School and Remington College with an Associate Degree in Business Technology. She coaches girls' fastpitch softball.
Olen was appointed to the Park Commission in March of 2017. He has been with the City as a police officer since 2008. Prior to that he was a maintenance supervisor and worked for Butterball for 16 years. He is a graduate of Huntsville High School and ALETA NANA Extension Vocational Trades School. He is a member of the Brand New Church and the Police Benevolent Association.
Mr. Sone became a Park Commissioner in 2013. He graduated from Fayetteville High School and the University of the Ozarks. He has been employed by the Huntsville School District as a teacher and a football and softball coach since 2004. He and his wife, Christi, have three children. He is a member of the Church of Christ.

Our City Park provides a disc golf course, two softball fields, a baseball field, a T-ball field, basketball, pickleball and volleyball courts, soccer field, batting cage, walking trail, playground areas, two gazebos, a pavilion and band stand and an amphitheater. Call 738-6607 for pavilion reservations.
Our league director, Carmen Watkins, organizes men's league softball, girls' softball and teen boy's baseball games.
Main St. Memorial Park is the newest addition to the Park System. It is home to two Civil War markers, the Tower of Valor dedicated to the memory of those who gave their lives in the service of this country, many memorial pavers, and a gazebo. Memorial pavers can still be purchased to be placed in the walkways.
The development of historical Town Commons is underway.
