Todd Thomas became Chief of the Huntsville Police Department January 1, 2014, and has served in the department since 1998. Todd graduated from Huntsville High School in 1992 and the Police Academy in 1998. Todd is SWAT certified and is also certified as a Police Instructor, Firearms Instructor and Armorer, Field Training Officer, Crime Scene Investigation, and Homeland Security Command. Todd is a member of the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce and is a Huntsville Park Commissioner.
Josh became a sergeant in 2012 and captain in 2014. He has been with the City since 2005 where he began as a patrolman and field officer. He is a graduate of Huntsville High School and the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy.
Dan became sergeant in 2014 and has been with the City since 2004. He is a retired USAF Msgt. Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent. He graduated from Antelope Union High School, attended USAF NCO Leadership School and USAF NCO Academy, and completed ALETA Academy. He is a BSA Scoutmaster for Kingston Troop 181, Adjutant with Kingston American Legion Post 230; Third Degree member of Knight of Columbus of Springdale; Parish Council member, Eucharistic minister, choir member of St. John's Catholic Church in Huntsville.
Sonja was an office assistant to the city clerk's office and police department from April of 2008 through December 2014 before becoming the full-time dispatcher/secretary for the police department in 2015. Sonja graduated high school and earned a degree as an office clerk in Germany before moving to the United States in 1988. While there, she worked for the FBG Bremerhaven, Aafes Europe, the consolidated maintenance center and the central furnishings management office Bremerhaven. She is married and has two children.
Haley N. Stephenson
Haley joined the Police Department in February of 2017 as an office assistant. She is a graduate of Huntsville High School and has a certificate as a pharmacy technician.
Olen is a patrolman. He has been with the City since 2008. Prior to that he was a maintenance supervisor and worked for Butterball for 16 years. He is a graduate of Huntsville High School and ALETA NANA Extension Vocational Trades School. He is a member of the Brand New Church and the Police Benevolent Association.
Abel C. Ramirez
Patrolman Ramirez was hired in 2014. He is a 2010 graduate of Huntsville High School. He also attended Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Ks., on a rodeo scholarship, where he majored in Criminal Justice. After returning to Arkansas in 2013, he was a detention officer at Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Patrolman Roddy began is law enforcement career in October of 2012 with the Siloam Springs Police Department. From there, he went to the Highfill Police Department, where he worked as the K-9 handler. After buying property in Madison County, he has moved back to the area where he was raised and went to school.
Officer Pruitt worked as a detention officer for Carroll County prior to coming to work for the City in January of 2016. He is a graduate of Jasper High School.
Patrolman Evans is a 2013 graduate of Huntsville High School, a 2014 graduate of Northwest Technical Institute in Springdale with a certificate in computer networking. Prior to coming to the City he worked as a jailer/transport officer for Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
Lucas became a reserve officer for the Police Department in 2012. He has served as Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Chief for the Huntsville Fire Department and is a full-time firefighter for the Fayetteville Fire Department.
Jerry worked as a full-time officer for the Huntsville Police Department for several years but left to pursue other interests. He still acts as a reserve officer as needed.
Niki joined the Police Department as a reserve in 2015 and also began serving her first term as Councilor for Ward 3, Position 2. She has spent the last 16 years working in the law enforcement field. She currently works as the Madison County Juvenile Officer. She is also a new board member for the Huntsville Chamber of Commerc
Jonathan has been a reserve officer at Huntsville since December 2014. He is currently a patrol Sergeant with the Lowell Police Department, where he is also a certified taser instructor and Field Training Officer. Officer Taylor has been in law enforcement since 2009 when he began his career in Ruston, Louisiana. Jonathan has served in many roles including narcotics and patrol divisions.
Joshua became a reserve officer with the department on June 1, 2016.
